Victory: Drug Distribution Conviction Sealed in Colorado

I’m proud to share a recent win for one of my clients: we successfully sealed a drug distribution conviction here in Colorado—something many people assume is impossible.

At first, both the district attorney and the judge believed the law didn’t allow for sealing in this type of case. But after digging into the statute and writing a detailed motion explaining how my client qualified, I was able to show that the law does provide relief in certain circumstances. After reviewing my arguments, the judge changed his mind and granted the petition.

Why does this matter? Because sealing a conviction can open doors—housing, employment, peace of mind. And even serious charges, like drug distribution, aren’t always the end of the road. Colorado law has evolved, and with the right approach, it’s possible to move forward.

If you or someone you know has a past conviction and wants to know whether sealing is an option, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to take a look.
